The Gift: Finding Peace this Christmas

Isaiah 53:5 (NIV) – He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Jesus came to bring us peace by dealing with the source of our pain.

Jesus brings peace today because He carried our pain to the cross.

Throughout the Old Testament, God: (1) Promised us Peace, (2) in Jesus He Purchased our peace, and now we have (3) Peace Present today.

Upward Peace (with God) – Outward Peace (with others) – Inward Peace (with ourselves)

We are called to both receive peace and to carry God’s peace to others
