First Steps

Congratulations!

What does it mean to "get saved"?

The most famous verse in the whole Bible (and a great one to memorize) is John 3:16 which says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

God loved us so much that He gave His Son to be born, live among us, and die on a cross so that we can have eternal life and a relationship with Him. When we give our hearts to Jesus we are asking Him to forgive our sins and walk with us through this life with all of its ups and downs.

What are your First Steps?

God has an amazing plan for your life! He wants to spend time with you. If you got saved here at Generations Church you should have been given a booklet, a devotional and a Bible (If you need those things, contact us here). We hear from God by reading the Bible and respond to Him by praying. Try saying a prayer right now. Just tell God what’s going on in your day. Don’t worry if it feels weird, you will become more comfortable with it over time.

The devotional is a 7 day reading plan to help you understand more about the decision you made, and the booklet goes even deeper than that. As you read, listen for God to talk to you, He wants to communicate with you!

Lastly, one of the best ways we learn about God is by spending time with His people. We have services every Sunday at 10am, and other gathering throughout the week. Come on Sundays and get involved in a group.

We are so excited for you and we’re ready to help in anyway we can. If you have questions use the Next Steps button on this page to send us a message. We’re here for you!
