Choosing Joy in Closed Doors
We choose joy when we learn to see through God’s eyes.
Philippians 4:4 (NIV)- 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
- From Mark Batterson :
- If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans
- What we see as a detour is often the destination
- Someday we’ll thank God for the closed doors as much as the open doors
- God wants you to get where God wants you to go more than you want to get where God wants you to go
Closed doors are God’s way of moving us where He wants us to go
Corrie Ten Boom: When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.
Praise is the key that unlocks the promises of God in your life
Proverbs 3: 5-6 (NIV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
