How do you respond when it seems like things are falling apart? Are you cool as a cucumber or more like a spicy pepper? Do you rise to the occasion or bury your head in the sand? This message talks about how we can choose joy in trials, because God uses these hard times to shape us into the person He wants us to be.
Sermon in a Sentence: The road to maturity runs through trials because they teach us, shape us, and lead to a reward if we persevere through them.
Main Scripture: James 1: 2-4 (NIV)
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
