The Gift: The Joy of the King
We all enter the Christmas season searching for joy, but often we cling to things—control, approval, success, comfort—believing they can produce it. The Wise Men show us a better way: joy doesn’t come from what we hold onto, but from the presence of the King. Their joy led them to bow and surrender their treasure, not out of loss, but out of overflowing delight. In the same way, when we release what we’ve been grasping and give Jesus our hearts, we discover the greater joy we’ve been chasing all along.
